Revolver, The Beatles
Released in 1966

There was a lot of experimenting with this album. Joh Lennon recorded "Tomorrow Never Knows" through a rotating Leslie speaker while Paul McCartney's laugh was distorted to create a seagull sound. It's probably the push on creativity with technology that kept them from ever performing any songs live from this album. Some consider this the best Beatles album... Do you?

"This is an album that I have had since I was a kid but never really studied the artwork on the cover until now. To me, this is the most exciting part about the album series. It's a chance to rediscover and reimagine vintage albums using embroidery techniques. The Beatles Revolver features intricate line work that instantly reminds me of 1960’s pop art. I decided to embroider this using traditional line work. The thread gives the hair and facial features a new dimension." - Stephen Wilson
